Susquehanna University Correcting Mismatched Precast Color

correcting mismatched precast color

THE CHALLENGE

Occasionally precast concrete may vary in color for various and sometimes unknown reasons. Most variations are subtle and acceptable, but in this case, the University involved would not accept two very dark panels on a newly constructed campus building. Tearing out the panels is not only extremely costly and risky to surrounding surfaces, but newly manufactured panels re-shipped to the site may vary once again and not meet expectations.

OUR SOLUTION

The University made a specific request, asking that we transform the color lighter to match surrounding precast panels while still preserving the appearance of a glittering sand aggregate. The results were amazing with no differences in color or aggregate detected at all once completed. Trust precast color issues to the best; call Exact Match Masonry Staining.
